Leadership & Community Involvement

Beyond her criminal law practice, Julia has volunteered her advocacy skills for the benefit of both global and local community organizations. Her work includes initiatives focused on genocide prevention and human rights in Ukraine, as well as youth mentoring programs in Canada.

Julia is a founding member of Canadian Lawyers for Ukraine and an active member of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association, the Ukrainian Canadian Bar Association, and the Ukrainian Youth Association of Canada.

Julia is committed to contributing to ongoing legal education and mentorship. She has served as a co-coach for the Yaroslav Mudrij (Kharkiv) Jessup Moot Court Team and has participated as an instructor in cross-examination at the Osgoode Courtroom Testimony Workshop, a program tailored to police officers and other law enforcement professionals.

Julia is fluent in French and Ukrainian and regularly assists clients in both languages.
